Quality Control

Recent investment into North American's Quality Control Department has yielded outstanding results. The introduction of our CMM has provided our staff the ability to create and submit detailed colour inspection reports to all of our customers.
To ensure tooling-in-progress quality, North American has adapted a "rough and finish cut" inspection methodology. In most cases our finish inspections reports can be sent via the Internet to our customers before the tooling arrives at your door.

Our bi-directional communication between our CMM and modeling workstations allows us to import CMM digitized data into our modeling software to be used in the development of complex surfaces and CNC machine code.

In addition, the software models can be passed from the engineering workstation to our CMM for a state-of-the-art inspection process called "Direct Surface-to-Cavity Relationship Checking". This process allows our inspectors to digitize points on the die cavity and graphically verify the deviation from the surface model. The digitized points and deviation values are colour coded to represent their relationships with the accepted die cavity tolerances.

With ISO Certification around the corner, North American Tool & Die is poised to offer unparalleled quality control and accountability.
